LANGUAGE

The official language of the meeting is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided. All abstract submissions and presentations are to be in English.

LETTER OF INVITATION

The organizers will be pleased to provide a letter of invitation to any pre-registered and paid participant requesting one. It is to be understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa. It is not a commitment on the part of the Meeting to provide any financial support.

INSURANCE

The congress organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to congress participants (or their accompanying persons), either during, or as a result of the congress.

BANKING & EXCHANGE

The Portuguese monetary system is the Euro. Foreign currency may be changed at banks during normal banking hours, at hotels, at airports and in exchange offices. All major credit cards are acceptable in most hotels, restaurants and shops.

VISAS

All visitors are required to have a valid passport, and for some countries, a visa is required.
For more information please contact your nearest Portuguese Embassy, Consulate or local travel agency well in advance. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

Certificates of attendance will be available for all registered participants at the registration desk.

An Outstanding Student/New Professional Abstract Award of Euro 700 to the presenting author of the most outstanding abstract for family therapists.

CHAMBER OF ASSOCIATIONS
 
The Chamber of Associations (COA) is comprised of representatives from the world family therapy associations and organizations with the goal to foster collaboration, develop shared views, and network with colleagues from around the globe.
The inaugural meeting of the COA will be held in Porto and we are expecting a spectacular turnout.  If you are the president, general secretary, executive director or designated representative of a national or regional family therapy association, we cordially invite you take part in this groundbreaking meeting. We expect that their will be opportunities to in order to exchange views about how we may better serve  families in the communities in which we live and improve the quality of family therapy worldwide.
We hope that you can join us in Porto to share your ideas with people who share your passion for family therapy.
